Terrible
We stayed at this hotel for our wedding, expecting excellent service, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. We had notified the hotel in advance via email about our wedding and asked them to ensure that everything in our room was perfect to avoid any unexpected issues. And what did we get? A dirty toenail in the bed! My fiancée cut her foot on it and started bleeding, and her wedding is tomorrow. What is she supposed to do now? This is unacceptable negligence, unsanitary, and completely unsafe. Additionally, when paying for the room at the reception, even though the booking was in US dollars, the payment was processed in Vietnamese dong without any prior notice. It’s a small thing, but the exchange rate difference added an extra 5% to the total cost, which was an unpleasant surprise. The staff should inform guests about the payment currency and notify them if they cannot accept US dollars, as stated in the booking. Moreover, despite our notification about this important event, the hotel showed no special attention or care. They simply ignored our request. We will never stay in this hotel chain again. Even large, mass-market, and ordinary hotels like Vinpearl and Radisson in Vietnam treat their guests with more attention than IHG.

Great hotel with kind and helpful staff
Excellent hotel. Helpful staff (as always from the kind Vietnamese people), excellent food, and great location. For IHG diamond members, this hotel provides lounge access, which is not common. The lounge is on the 34th floor. It's quite big and spacious. You can have breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening canapés. For breakfast, it's a buffet and a la carte. They will give you a menu to order from. For tea and canapés, there's no buffet. They will serve you the food items for the day. I think this is a better approach for the hotel because it saves money. In my experience, there are too many guests taking advantage of the lounge access as a substitute for dinner for themselves. Rooms are clean and modern. The hotel looks failry new. Housekeeping is excellent as well as the front desk. The person who checked us in actually took us to the room. That was very nice of her. Room service is also excellent. Prices are higher than restaurants but not outrageous, like it is in other hotels. Their pad thai and pho were the best I had in Da Nang. Location is very good too. It's only 15 minutes from the hotel via Grab taxi. I think it was only ₫85K (less than US$4). I would stay at this hotel again if I return to Da Nang.

Recent IHG acquisition is a credit to the brand
This is my first occasion to stay at the Crowne Plaza City Centre, Da Nang and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Everything about it has been exceptional. Ruby on the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful, and even escorted me to my room to point out the features. There is a huge club lounge on the 24th floor which is a perfect place to relax and take in the view. Lynd was on duty and was very friendly and helpful with something I’d been looking for. Also Loki was a perfect host in the lounge. I can’t think of anything negative to say about this recent IHG acquisition, Highly recommended.
Royal Treatment
The King premium Riverview room with lounge access through IHG was amazing! The comfort and hospitality is top-notch! The view from the room is lovely. The room is very modern and pristine. The lounge had a delicious breakfast spread, and meal cooked to order. The hotel restaurant was fantastic as well. The Wagyu Australian burger was huge and delicious! I enjoyed the lounge teatime and happy hour as well. The staff will go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. People to recognize- Steven, Nora, Toki and intern Tai. As a guest, you will feel their genuine kindness. Every single staff member acknowledged the guests, and were always eager to assist. I loved it here, extended my stay up to 16 days. The Han river walk felt safe, lit up well. Walking over the Han Bridge to the Mall was easy and an experience in itself. There are a couple cafés near the hotel that were pretty unique, the Marley or Noi Cafe and Ala cafe, that are just a minute walk from the hotel.
